It was wonderful to see a good crowd at our evening of festive fun at
Llandybie Social Club. A great end to another successful year.
Friday 9th December
Concert with the Phoenix Male Voice Choir
We had a great evening with the Phoenix Male Voice Choir in the beautifully appointed Swansea Uplands Rugby Club . It was a wet, cold evening but the welcome inside was very warm. There was lovely singing from both choirs, washed down with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.
Tuesday, 6th December

We received a warm welcome from staff and residents at Ty Dyffryn. There was a varied programme where the choir sang, Brenda gave recitations and all joined in with the carols before finishing the evening with coffee and mince pies!

It was lovely to sing once again at Aberglasney Christmas Fayre. A fine bright day but oh! So cold! Brrr! The mulled wine and mince pies were very welcome.
Sunday, November 27th
Dinefwr Edwardian Christmas Fayre
Newton House, Llandeilo
A wonderful time at the Edwardian Christmas Fayre at Newton House where there was much to see and enjoy. We sang in the marquee in the afternoon, when although the sun was still shining, it was much colder - the mulled wine and mince pie were most welcome!
Saturday, November 19th
Llandeilo Festival of the Senses
An enjoyable time singing in the convivial atmosphere of Llandeilo's annual festival, despite the rain, which held off for the duration of our performance!
Sunday, November 13th
Remembrance Service, Saron Chapel.
We were privileged to be asked to sing at Saron Chapel on Remembrance Sunday, as part of the service taking place that morning. We sang For the Fallen and In Flanders Fields, two songs evocative of the reason for the occasion, during a very moving service.
October 7th - 11th
Enniscorthy, Republic of Ireland
We have just returned from a wonderful visit to Ireland after singing at the 150th anniversary of the Church of St. Senan's in Enniscorthy in County Wexford. After travelling by ferry from Pembroke Dock to Rosslare, we settled in at our hotel in Bunclody before a practice and lunch with St. Senan's Church Choir the next day. The concert took place at a packed church on Sunday evening. Persain had a varied and entertaining repertoire, with music from Benedictus and Anfonaf Angel to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and the Anthem from Chess, concluding with a standing ovation. The evening finished with a joint rendition of This Little Light of Mine from both choirs. It was a memorable experience. We received a commemorative plaque from St. Senan's and gave a plaque and donation to the church restoration fund. The rest of our time was spent visiting the local area, especially beautiful Waterford. Our grateful thanks to Linda O'Rourke and St. Senan's Choir and Church for their wonderfully warm welcome, to Anne for her dedicated work with the choir, to talented young Tom Howell for his accompaniment, and to Sarah for all her work in organising such a successful visit.

A very enjoyable weekend indeed in London, where we visited the Sky Gardens and the
sites around Tower Bridge, culminating with a tour of the Houses of Parliament with our
