Tuesday, December 15th

Annual Christmas Concert

Llandybie Social Club

A thoroughly enjoyable evening in Campbell Road where we were joined by the Phoenix Male Voice Choir to sing to a full house, which participated in the communal carols, Twelve Days of Christmas and competitions very enthusiastically. A lovely end to the year.

December 12th 

National Botanic Gardens Christmas Fayre

Despite the rain and wind outside there was a festive atmosphere under the dome at the National Botanic Gardens at Llanarthney, where we were happy to sing to the shoppers enjoying the Christmas Fayre.   

December 6th

           Aberglasney Winter Fayre               

An enjoyable time singing carols and Christmas songs at Aberglasney House and Gardens with mulled wine and mince pies to keep us going and lots of stalls to browse and buy at.  Thankfully the weather was much warmer than last year !                                                                      

October 29th

Charity Concert "Hands for Alan"

The Diplomat Hotel, Llanelli

A successful evening at the Diplomat Hotel, Llanelli, where Cor Persain took part in a fundraising concert to acquire bionic hands for ten year old Alan Giffard of Loughor.  We were delighted to learn that £1,500 had been raised during the event.October 10th

Annual Concert at

Amman Valley School Hall

A wonderful evening at our Annual Concert. Our grateful thanks to compere Mal Pope and our very talented guests, violinist Abigail Hammett and baritone Jordan Williams and his accompanist, Jane Jewell. Our thanks and congratulations too, to our Honorary President, M.P. Nia Griffith, who has recently been appointed Shadow Secretary of State for Wales in the new Shadow Cabinet. This evening we had the opportunity to sing "Swansea Bay" before its composer, John Mills, Musical Director of the Phoenix Male Voice Choir.

Quiz Night at Llandybie Social Club

An enjoyable evening at our  Quiz Night at Llandybie Social Club - some very  difficult questions but the buffet was lovely! Congratulations to  the winning team.

National Botanic Gardens

It was lovely to sing under the Dome at the National Botanic Gardens in Llanarthney on such a beautiful Autumn morning. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, as usual, and the visitors to the Food Fayre being held at the Gardens were a very appreciative audience.

July 17th 

St Matthias Church, Treharris with Treharris Male Choir

  We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the beautiful St. Matthias Church in Treharris - a        

  very warm  welcome from all and a lovely concert with music from Persain and Treharris

  Male Voice Choir, with  a rousing "Hen Wlad fy'n Nhadau" to finish and a delicious    

  buffet  meal afterwards.

    

                      

June 12th 

Choir Quiz

 Llandybie Social Club

A very enjoyable and entertaining evening at Llandybie Social Club in Campbell Road, Llandybie. The buffet was excellent and the quiz questions difficult, but the best team won! A lovely time was had by all and a total of over £400 was raised for choir funds for our forthcoming CD.  This is the winning team.

April 11th

 Marie Curie Cancer Care Fundraiser 

The Amman Centre, Ammanford 

An excellent concert with a wonderful variety of songs and styles from our guests, Treharris Male Voice Choir and tenor Greg Arthur accompanied by pianist Rob Marshall, which were enthusiastically received by our audience. It was a very memorable evening, and £350 was raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care.March 15th 

Glanfa Stage, Wales Millennium Centre

We had a lovely reception in Cardiff. It was a pleasure to sing on the Glanfa Stage and to be beautifully accompanied by our wonderful pianist Catherine on a Steinway grand piano. We had a varied programme and our renditions of Big Spender, The Rose and The Rhythm of Life were particularly well received.

 National Botanic Gardens

W

hat a lovely way to celebrate Saint David's Day! A harpist greeted us in the foyer, the sun was shining, the daffodils and snowdrops were in bloom and the Great Glasshouse was packed. We enjoyed singing in this lovely venue, providing a  programme of mainly Welsh songs for the occasion.

February 28th

 St. David's Day Festival, Ammanford

We were delighted to start off a packed programme of events in the centre of Ammanford on Saturday at the St David's Day Festival organised by Ammanford's Chamber of Trade.
